Rolfing
Rolfing® is a hands-on bodywork technique that enhances posture, alleviates pain, and increases movement. It was developed by Dr. Ida Rolf, a biochemist who was a pioneer in the study of fascia and discovered methods to soften, lengthen, and reposition it. Fascia is present throughout the body and provides our structure; without it, we would simply be limp piles of bones, organs, and muscles.
Because fascia is everywhere in our bodies, so are the benefits. Rolfing helps the body recover from accidents and surgeries or reset after emotional trauma. It enables athletes, dancers, musicians, and others with repetitive motion issues to reach their next level of performance. For some people, it is a way to ease chronic pain. Rolfing is for everyone who wants to stand taller and feel more comfort within their bodies.
At InnerSpring WellBeing, Rolfing sessions are enhanced by simultaneous therapies as appropriate: cold laser, pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF), FAR infrared, hot gemstone, negative ion, and photon light. Richard offers one-hour and two-hour appointments, with sessions typically scheduled two weeks to one month apart. Some clients choose to undergo the “10-Series,” a structured set of rejuvenating sessions that focuses on a different aspect of the body each time, while others prefer to tackle specific issues.
